I would like to read more about your experiences with Alzheimer's. My mom was diagnosed with it 2 years ago. She is in the moderate-advanced stage now...In the last 2-3 weeks, she's not been talking very much at all. She's also been more tired. I keep waiting for this to pass. It probably won't. Maybe it's that at some point in these last 3 weeks, she went into a more advanced stage of the disease. Can someone who is at this advanced stage of Alzheimer's improve with nutritional supplements?
She never displayed some of the typical characteristics (wandering, forgetting where she was, etc.). I don't think she realizes what has happened to her. I feel guilty that I never told her. I'm with her almost every day but I can't bring myself to tell her...sometimes I think it's okay, her not knowing. I also thought hers might not be Alzheimer's, but Alcohol Related Dementia/Brain Damage. She quit drinking 2 years ago, about the same time she quit smoking. She just stopped both. She never mentions smoking. For the last couple of days, all of a sudden she has said that she'd like a drink. I miss my mom so much. I don't know what goes on in her mind with this Alzheimer's encroaching on it. Please write more. What's happening in your experiences with Alzheimer's Disease?
Sincerely,
Carrie

I will be posting more on personal stuff in the near future, thanks for visiting. I also want to add that I am not a doctor nor am I in the medical field - I have researched all the material that is in my blog. I have found it a good way to deal with the situation and to improve my knowledge. As for your question about the suplements, I would recommend you speak with your doctor first to see what he/she has to say. Check back soon for more updates/info.
